When you find or suspect that there is "something wrong" with your plumbing system, it is always best to be "proactive" in your approach. Things such as extremely "hot water", unusual smells or noises can all be beginning signs of bad things to come.
By addressing these issues when you first suspect then, you can sometimes avoid some major problems in the future.
